Today, with a rise in health awareness, poor quality of tap water, and the ease of availability of bottled water, the per capita consumption of bulk bottled water in India is on the increase in common places such as offices. And in individual households, people continue to use both water filters and bulk packaged water.

60% of the 160 Billion INR Bottled water market in India belongs to the 20 litre jars commonly used in IT park offices, small offices, hospitals, schools, other institutions and even at home. These use water cooler/heater dispensers. India’s packaged bottled water industry to reach Rs.160 billion by 2018.

Majority of the rest is at homes via household water filters with integrated or standalone storage.
